Turbo Hydromatic 700, Turbo 700 or TH700, 4L60E or 4L80E

Why so many ways to say Turbo 700 ?? so people find this page in search engines ;)

Why not A904 Torqueflite....   I   WANT   Overdrive !!!! you get that with 3.7:1 gears

I have spend a bit of time on how I can setup a 700 on a hemi sofar I have got 3 options

1. Castlemaine Rod Shop ( CRS ) Adapter plate about $500 from Rod Hadfield
2. Pentastar Parts & Restorations are currently working on a conversion that used a Th700 from a V6 commodore. What you do it cut off the bell housing from the TH700 install you bute adapter ring and bolt up a standard borgwarner 35 ( BW35 ) bell housing. Its not 100% finished but im interested as there maybe some advantages over the CRS conversion. This conversion also requires a modified torque converter but overall sounds good.
3. The last option it to simply .. ( simply haha haha ) weld up my own modified bell housing.
Maybe I will leave that one alone although I have got a Th700 v6 housing and am getting a V8 th700 bellhousing complete with crack from Wholesale Automatic Transmissions they are located in Vic i must add the reason i want a cracked one is because i asked for a %$#% one so i could butcher it :) I mean convert it.

I managed to get a CRS Adapter plate for sale second hand through Mopar Market I also managed to get the TH700 aswell so now I got almost everything for the conversion..

I need a torque convertor and a modified shortened tailshaft.. Once I done all this I will post the dimensions.
If you done it already please email me The corssmember needs to be made up and also some shifter limkages.

I got some other things to do so this may sit for 6 months its Feb 2004 now.. as I got other things that need donw on the car atleast i got the parts already..
